Hey everyone! How is your fast going? Good I hope! I myself can’t believe this is my last week of the fast. If you’re just starting don’t worry I got you covered on some meals and you can find some others here on my blog.

​​Hello Everyone! Happy New Year! We are in 2020, just WOW! I know it has been sometime since I have posted but I wanted to come on and share some meals for my first post of the year. What type of meals you say? The meals will be none other than Daniel Fast meals.​

Let’s just start off with honesty, sometimes life can get tough. Tough to the point where you consider giving up. Maybe it has been one thing after another and you can’t see how things can even get better. Whatever you do don’t entertain the thought of giving up. When you entertain it is when you are more likely to act on it.

This past weekend I had the privilege to volunteer at an event for DeSoto’s DVAC(Domestic Violence Advisory Commission). Let me first start off by saying I am not an expert but I think it is very important that I share what I learned from this event. I know that in society this is a very touchy subject but I do believe it is something we need to speak to our children about, no matter the age. We often wait for something to happen to then have a voice on it but there are so many things that can happen to our children that it is important to have these conversations with them beforehand. So what is the conversation we should have? What is it that I learned?

Tacos! Tacos! Tacos! Who doesn’t love them some tacos? For us we have two favorite spots to go to in DFW when we are wanting tacos. As you may know there are so many taco spots in the Dallas Fort Worth area and we’ve tried many many places but these two remain our favorite go to.

Have you ever wondered if it is okay to not be okay? Have you ever felt like things are tough? What about when you are a Christian is it actually okay to not be okay? This is something I had been battling with for days.

You know time has definitely been going by quickly. It's pretty normal for us to be on the go. Some months back I wrote about God’s peace and for me that very peace has been a great blessing to my life. But what about when you realize you are trying to create your own peace?

​Stress is something so common but often something people do not like to talk about. After all, why would we want others to know that we are stressed? We are superheroes and we can handle anything, right? Well, if we are being honest we all have experienced stress at one time or another.

You know the saying, “Time flies?” Man is that true! For me it doesn’t seem that long ago I graduated from High School let alone College but it has been years. In this time there has been many things I’ve learned and I’ve decided to share 28 of those things since after all, I did complete year 28. In no specific order here are some of the things I’ve learned:

Being a mom I often battle with the idea I shouldn’t have “me" time. Having a full time job I would rather maximize my time with my son rather than spending time on myself. I love spending time with him and at times we are normally on the go so I try to take advantage of every second I have with him when so many others aren’t around. There is just something about that quality time that I just love. What I have realized is quality time for yourself is also very important. It may just be 10 minutes but that may just be what you need. Below I’ve listed 5 simple things you can do during “me” time.

When doing what God has called you to do seems impossible or crazy, do you still follow Him? Has God ever told you to do something that didn’t quite align with your life at that moment?
