Have you ever wondered what are the best items to pack in your toddlers bag or backpack? I know as a first time mom I would pack pretty much every single thing I could think of. I honestly looked like I was going on a trip with my son’s bag. Haha! I have now figured out what the best items are to take with me without looking like I have packed too much. Below are a list of items I pack in my son’s small backpack.
Change of clothes: I always take a change of clothes because as my mom says, “you never know when you will need it.” This is honestly true especially with a toddler. They may get dirty eating, playing, or maybe a potty accident so it is always wise to pack a change of clothes.
Small toys: I find this useful anywhere we are going. For my son they are usually small trucks or cars. They come in handy when we go eat at a restaurant and there are no kids coloring menus. Honestly, any time we are waiting or at someone else’s home they come in handy.
Tablet: I have limited my son on this but I use this as a last resort to calm my son down in a area he can’t freely play.
Pampers/pull ups and wipes: Well this is pretty much a given.
Neosporin: I don’t always use this but when you have a boy this definitely comes in handy for any scratches or cuts that may occur.
Medicine: I try and have a cough and fever medicine just in case he suddenly gets sick.
I hope this list can be of help to you as it is for me. What do you pack in your toddlers bag? Have you found any of these items useful for you?
